In one of the first projects, Pieper, then still a KG, installed industrial television systems at the German Engineering School in Cologne. Video technology is still the focus of the Schwert-based company today. IP technologies and cross-integration with other trades have been added. Process monitoring in fire rooms and technologies for early fire detection have developed into core competencies. "Over the years, we have always kept up with the times," says Thorsten Wulff, Managing Director of the PIEPER GmbH. "Today we stand for high-quality, customised industrial solutions and are internationally renowned for our innovative systems and special solutions."
Dual leadership: Thomas Lampe becomes second managing director
In future, Thomas Lampe will strengthen the management of the PIEPER GmbH. The previous Düsseldorf branch manager has been with the company since 1990 and focuses on sales. "Thomas Lampe has been an important pillar of the company for many years. I am looking forward to developing the future of the PIEPER GmbH together with a long-standing and highly valued colleague," says the previous sole Managing Director Thorsten Wulff.
Thomas Lampe is also looking forward to the new task: "For some customers we have been companions for many years - yet every project has individual requirements. Video technology is a varied field. New, exciting opportunities are currently arising from Industry 4.0." As Managing Director, Thomas Lampe will also continue to look after sales and the expansion of the company's growth in the DACH region.
MOOG Pieper becomes (again) the PIEPER GmbH
Another change results from the separation from the MOOG Inc. group. "For our customers, the old and new company name has been very present all these years," explains Thorsten Wulff. "When the opportunity arose to buy the company back from MOOG Inc. we did not hesitate for long. We want to continue to maintain the good partnership with MOOG. The PIEPER GmbH is a strong brand in the field of video security, which will have an even stronger presence within Germany and worldwide in the future." The change of name already took place at the end of August.
